About Sax30'S
Sax30'sは錦糸町を活動拠点とする、OL4人のサックスカルテットとパーカッション（ここだけメンズ）1人で構成されたユニットです。誰でも耳にしたことがあるようなスタンダードジャズやポップスのジャズアレンジを中心に、聴いてくれるお客さんと一緒に楽しめるような音楽を目指しています。
よく（遠慮がちに）聞かれるので先に書いておくと、Sax30’sという名前の由来は、最初にカルテットで演奏した2008年11月、とある音楽教室の発表会で１日だけの結成のつもりだったため、「サックス」＋「全員３０代（当時）」をユニット名にしました。この時は、まさかこの後に何年も活動が続くとは誰が想像できたでしょう???（笑） 結成から7年という月日が経ち、一部のメンバーにおいては「30’s???」となってしまいましたが、どうかユニット名の由来についてはそっとしておいてください（笑）
音楽教室の発表会は年に2回だけだったので、2010年ごろまでは、普段はそれぞれが個人レッスンを受けていて、発表会が近づいてきたら集まってカルテットの練習を開始するというゆったりなペースでしたが、少しずつ持ち曲が増え、アンサンブルにも慣れてきたのを良いことに、ちょっと外で吹いてみようということで、飛び入りOKでゆるい感じのミュージックバーにて、知らない人の前で演奏をぼちぼち開始。
このあたりまでは、アルトサックス4本の構成でしたが、サックスを習い初めて数年経つと、他の音域のサックス（ソプラノ、テナー、バリトン）にも興味を持つというあるあるな流れを経て、且つ、もともとサキソフォビアというジャズサックスカルテットの曲を演奏していたこともあり、2012年秋より、サキソフォビアと同じ構成の、アルト1本、テナー2本、バリトン1本という現在の構成に至りました。
その後、2013年8月に開催された第4回すみだストリートジャズフェスティバルにダメもとで応募してみたところ、見事不採用（笑）となったところを、空き枠が出たとのことで、まさかの出演決定。これ以降、本格的にジャズフェスティバルやオープンマイク等での演奏活動をスタートさせました。また、ジャンルの幅を広げるために、2014年11月からパーカッションのメンバーが参加。アコースティックな会場でも演奏できるようにと、ドラムではなくカホンを選択。さらに、ライブを楽しいショーにしていきたいという想いから、専属MC（メンバーの身内ですが笑）がライブを進行し、観客を巻き込むスタイルが定着。
2015年に入ってからは、なかのぶジャズフェスティバルプレイベント、池袋ジャズフェスティバル、すみだストリートジャズフェスティバル、JAZZ in FUCHU、渋谷ズンチャカ！、立川いったい音楽際など音楽、ジャズフェスを中心に積極的にライブ活動を行っています。
そして、なんやかんやで2018年11月で10周年を迎えました。
30'Sで良いのか？と少し困惑気味、だけどKinKi Kidsみないなもんで、まあ良いかとメンバー納得しています！

Sax30's is a unit consisting of four OL sax quartets and percussion (men only here), based in Kinshicho.
We aim to create music that can be enjoyed with customers who listen to it, with a focus on standard jazz and pop jazz arrangements that anyone has heard.
I often hear it (so I refrain), so if I write it first, the name Sax30's was originally formed in November 2008, when I first played in the quartet, and I was going to form it for a day. Therefore, “Sachs” + “All members in their 30s (at that time)” were given unit names. At that time, who could have imagined that the activity would continue for many years after this? (Laughs) Seven years have passed since the formation, and some members say "30's ???" But please keep quiet about the origin of the unit name.
Since the music class presentation was only twice a year, until around 2010, each person usually took private lessons, and when the presentation approached, they gathered together and started practicing the quartet However, it was good that I got used to the ensemble, and that I was getting used to the ensemble little by little. Start playing.
Up to this point, it was composed of four alto saxophones, but after a few years of learning saxophones, it went through a certain flow of interest in saxophones of other ranges (soprano, tenor, baritone), and Originally, he was playing a jazz saxophone quartet called Saxophobia, and since the fall of 2012, the current composition of Alto, 2 tenors, and 1 baritone is the same as Saxophobia.
After that, when I applied for the 4th Sumida Street Jazz Festival held in August 2013 with no use, it was said that a vacant frame came out when it was brilliantly rejected (lol) Appearance decision. Since then, we have begun performing at jazz festivals and open microphones. In addition, percussion members participated from November 2014 to expand the range of genres. Choose cajon instead of drums so that you can play in an acoustic venue. Furthermore, because of the desire to make the live a fun show, a dedicated MC (members' laughs) will continue the live, and the style that will involve the audience has become established.
Since 2015, Nakanobu Jazz Festival Pre-event, Ikebukuro Jazz Festival, Sumida Street Jazz Festival, JAZZ in FUCHU, Shibuya Zunchaka! , Tachikawa is doing live activities mainly on music and jazz festivals.
